MCD in association with Verdant & Glenaduff Productions proudly presents the return of Padraic McIntyre's ever popular musical comedy The Night Joe Dolan’s Car Broke Down, to the stage of Dublin's Olympia Theatre for a limited run from 13th-18th February at 8.00PM.
Imagine being stranded with Showband legend Joe Dolan in a rural pub in Co. Cavan on the night that his car breaks down. Well, that's just the sort of fantasy scenario that is imagined in The Night Joe Dolan’s Car Broke Down. The play is set on a stormy St. Stephen's night as people gather to celebrate the 60th birthday party of the The Horse Munley public house. As the storm worsens and people head for home, a knock comes to the door which brings the night's entertainment to a whole new level. As the play unfolds so too do personal secrets, the music and the craic! This hilarious show has been a sell out success in theatres all over Ireland, including Dublin, Cavan, Roscommon, Longford, Mullingar, Monaghan and Galway. Mixing comedy, drama and music, The Night Joe Dolan’s Car Broke Down is a treat for all theatre and Joe Dolan fans alike!
Nightly shows are from 8.00PM and there will also be a matinee show on Saturday 18th February from 3.00PM. Tickets from €27 (including booking fee) are on sale now and are available to purchase from ticketmaster.ie and usual outlets nationwide.
